These cold foam noses meet the highest standards of make-up artistry. They are designed as character noses, but are small-format and realistically sculpted. They are made of fine-pored PU foam, and are completely encapsulated in an ultra-fine film of Syncap. This PU film covers the pores of the foam and enables holohedral bonding as well as much easier color design than with other foam prosthetics. The Syncap surface can be colored with any normal make-up, Rubber Mask Grease Paint, alcohol paints as well as Pax Paints. The very fine edge of Syncap can be dissolved with acetone and enables transitions that would otherwise not be possible with foam parts.

The inner measurements of the PU Foam Noses match a nose length of approx. 6 cm and a nose width over nostrils of approx. 7cm. The foam piece is flexible within limits and will fit noses up to 7.5cm length and 8cm width. Compact prosthetics made of PUR foam, encapsulated in PUR film.

Instructions:

Before putting it on for the first time, cut out the nostrils. If required, cut through the protective rim in front of the nostrils to provide more flexibility when applying.

Use an alcohol-based toner or the Spirit Gum Remover and Thinner to cleanse and degrease the skin. The skin adhesive will last much better and longer.

Put on the nose to test the size. Starting at the protective rim carefully pull the Prosthetic onto the nose to fit smoothly against the skin along the fine Syncap film. If needed carefully cut thin foam layers from the inside of the Prosthetic to
improve the fit.

The foam nose can be glued on with all commercially available skin adhesives. Coat the bridge of the model‘s nose thinly
with skin adhesive and follow the glue‘s instructions for use. Glue the nose onto the bridge of the nose and down to the tip of the nose.

When the foam nose is holding firmly, apply glue to the sides and nostrils of the nose. Apply adhesive under the foam areas only. The very fine film of Syncap should only be glued down 1-2 mm wide.

With slight tension, pull both sides of the foam nose down the sides and onto the nostrils of your nose evently. Avoid wrinkles on the Syncap film, if needed, correct its fit.

Coat the bridge of the nose with skin adhesive, and if needed areas of the nose not previously treated. Pull the foam nose bridge onto your own nose bridge. Then press all areas firmly once more ensuring good adhearance.

Moisten a fine brush or cotton swab with a small amount of acetone and brush it lightly over the film along the adhesive edge. It will dissolve to an almost invisible edge. The outer protective foam edge (flashing) makes it easier to remove the excess film.

Any small defects, including accidently dissolved Syncap film can be repaired with suitable materials, such as Kryolan Bondo. For an almost invisible edge, dab on ProsAide with a stipple sponge.

For coloring use any kind of make-up, Rubber Mask Grease Paint, alcohol paints, or Pax Paints. Always work sparingly and
in thin layers of color to maintain the flexibility of the Prosthetic.
